scrappy baskets from Making A Lather

 I found these beauty baskets at suzies scraps here. I don't work on them very often. But, I like them, and, anytime I find triangular pieces that I think would work, I throw them in the box with the blocks. Sometimes, I like to take them out and sew a few. It uses odd triangles and 2 1/2 inch squares. More about them here.



I also found snowball blocks at Suzies-scraps.com. I have these in a box near the sewing machine to use up 2 inch squares.

what I am working on from Making A Lather

 Do you know what stinging nettle is? It is a mean little weed that has spines all over it's stems and leaves, and, if you touch them, it injects a little bit of acid into your skin for a day's worth of burning and itching. Sometimes rubbing a maple leaf over it will neutralize the effect. When we bought our property 30 years ago, we had a forest of stinging nettles and burdock to clean out. to do: new snowball from Making A Lather

 I noticed that I have a lot of 2 inch squares that are not matching for easy breezy. So, when I saw this new block, I knew I could use the non- matching 2 inch squares. Any chance to get scrappy is fun for me. I found this at Suzies-scraps.com, scrappy snowballs.



I have been sewing HSTs for the shirt anvil block again. I cut for awhile, and, then, I sew for awhile. Then, I pick up something else for a bit. I have quilting ADD. with no H for hyperactivity.
